Proposal Assessment d:  Novelty Seeking

    Team d proposes studying asymptomatic individuals with known mutations and symptomatic
individuals with no known mutations so as to identify epigenetic factors affecting the development of
the NS phenotype, including maternal effects, environmental factors and modifier genes. The expectation
is that NS can be explained as a developmental phenomenon, with known genetic risk factors making a
contribution to this developmental outcome in a suitable context.
